With the spread of Bats with White-nose Syndrome and the concerns that WNS may spread to other bat colonies currently free of WNS bats living in caves the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has posted a web site for cavers. This web site lists both state and federally managed caves currently closed to the public. You may see these closures at http://www.fws.gov/whitenosesyndrome/cavers.html.
You are encouraged to check with each state for updates of current cave closures or check their web sites. Please adhere to these cave closures to help protect the bats from White-nose Syndrome.
